The Tickell Arms is a pub and restaurant in the heart of Whittlesford, a lovely village 5 miles south of Cambridge. We are close Jnct 10 of the M11 making us easily accessible. The restaurant serves seasonal modern British food in relaxed surroundings and wonderful roast dinners on Sunday lunchtimes. The conservatory and terrace, overlooking the pond and rose garden, are delightful in summer and real fires make it a warm destination in winter. We are lucky to have two gardens. Our other garden is a beer garden where you can enjoy some light pub food and an extensive range of drinks from our pub bar.
Determined to keep the local country pub scene alive, we serve up to four local real ales and have an extensive wine list by the glass. Dogs are most welcome in the pub area, certain areas of the restaurant and of course in our extensive gardens, where you can also eat if tables are available.
Found the place by accident (on a long journey and needed dinner) really glad we did. Beautiful building and tasteful interior, real fires, very welcoming and dog friendly. Food was excellent, very well presented and beautifully cooked, complimented by lovely service. It's an up market place so don't expect pub prices but the quality is worth it. 4 adults £140 incl srv.
We recently dined at the Tickell Arms and the experience was 10/10! We had the Camembert and the Roast sharing platters, which were recommended to me by a friend! They did not disappoint! Our waiter and the other staff were also super friendly and attentive - we had a really lovely afternoon, and our meal was so reasonably priced.
Great experience! Firstly, the atmosphere is lovely. This wonderful pub is set in the gorgeous Cambridgeshire countryside and comes with its own pond and outdoor seating area. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the food is of very generous sizes and absolutely delicious. The prices are surprisingly reasonable too. I’d definitely come back here!
Great food! I loved the risotto, fries and other entries. But the deserts specially were amazing! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere too
Excellent sunday roast; tender and succulent Sirloin cut and well cooked pork belly. Vegetables and potatoes are perfectly cooked. James; the manager and Charlotte took care of us very well. The atmosphere is excellent.
