Called in because a live band was advertised. Stood at the empty bar to be served whilst the landlord continued to ignore us at the end of the bar It took the barmaid to come over from the other room. The landlord seemed uninterested and didnt have the courtesy to even acknowledge us standing right next to him. It's great to see a live band but with The Twisted Tongue just round the corner he needs to change his attitude. Seems to be in the wrong industry. Won't be rushing back.
Great little pub, nice friendly atmosphere, great service and live music here on a regular basis. A very welcoming pub popular with an eclectic mix of people.
Absolute blast if you enjoy a bit of rock, metal or general non-boring music. Pool table, stage, well priced beer and ale, staff a blast and theres an open fire too. Worth a visit.
Last place I visited out of about 6/7 pubs and this was the friendliest. Only rock pub in the town but the clientelle were welcoming and the beer was kept well. Never felt like an outsider. I am back in the town soon and this will be the place I come to. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality to a non-local.
Local rock pub with lots of character friendly bar staff and a variety of drinks available. Live entertainment most weekends and free jukebox and pool on a Thursday.
