About us

The Three Tuns on Portman Mews South in Marylebone has been at this location since at least 1841, when there were 18 pubs of that name in London. Most of the other Three Tuns are gone, though it still remains a common pub name throughout England (tun is an old English word meaning a “brewing vat” or “cask”).This Three Tuns and the two buildings housing it are the last vestiges of historic Portman Mews South. Many of the other buildings there were badly damaged during World War II.

Very nice atmosphere and traditional layout. It is a very old pub but it is certainly well maintained. We had drinks only. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I certainly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice time to enjoy a drink a good chat with friends/family/colleagues.

Excellent Greene King located only a couple of minutes from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street. Excellent Real Ales and CAMRA card discount available. Staff were really friendly and a great place to chill and have a couple of beers.

Lovely pub in London. We tried 2 of the burgers and fish and chips all were delicious actually. The place was half empty which might have helped with the speed of service which was pretty good. Around 22 pounds food plus a round of drinks

Would give this 6. Great location, wonderful building. The interior is very nice. Food was good and well priced. Beer (Estrella) was very nice and well kept it seemed. Staff was the main reason for 5 stars, very very nice and actively took time out to ask how I was after my long travel down on the coach. Very friendly and service was very speedy. 100% place to go in central London. Loved it.

Classic pub, great vibe, especially on a Thursday evening when the office crowd was out drinking. Cozy, historic interior, great beer on draft and cask (Landlord!), and a friendly, hardworking staff to keep everyone happy.
