Decided to try The Tap on the Tutt as it is half way between where we live and my brother and sister-in-law. Fist impression on entering the pub was a cozy welcoming pub tastefully furnished and a good atmosphere. The member of staff who greeted us was Katie she was happy cheerful and friendly. The food was delicious, excellent service, highly recommend, we will be back.
Booked at the last minute. Very accommodating. Menu small. Starter a bit undercooked but mains well executed and generous portions. Tasty crumbles for pudding. Helpful staff.
We had a family meal on 3rd Dec. We booked late afternoon and they managed to fit all 11 of us in . The staff was so friendly and obliging. The food was fantastic even the baby cleared her plate . Will certainly be back when in area and highly recommend .
Now known as the 'Tap on the Tut' as changed ownership I believe. Small menu but food made well and great value for money. Maybe more catering for vegetarian/vegan customers would be nice. We aren't in that category but unfortunately our friend couldn't eat there (to be honest we didn't ask so it may have been possible) But lovely service and very helpful staff. Nice outdoor area.
Definitely a must try! Gorgeous proper traditional pub, with nice local people. We're here on holiday and value for money is absolutely amazing. We came in for a few drinks one afternoon and the chap behind the bar was lovely and so attentive. We looked at the menu and decided we'd try for dinner the following evening. Well we were not disappointed! The lamb shanks were to die for and for pudding we had cherry pie and sticky toffee pudding, also very tasty. The portion sizes are huge and we definitely didn't leave hungry. It was nice to find a local pub that allowed dogs. Will definitely return when we next venture up this way!
