We came for a Sunday roast after hearing great things, unfortunately we left super disappointed. We had bread and olives to kick off the meal which were delicious, in-fact the best part of the meal. I opted for the roast pork belly and my partner had the roast beef. The roast beef was lovely, however the pork was very bland and dry. The Yorkshire puddings had no depth or flavour to them and just disintegrated when you ate them. The roast potatoes were dry and tasted like they’ve been left under a hot plate for 3 hours. The roast parsnip? Turnip? I couldn’t even tell you what they were, well that was rock hard. I also didn’t expect the gravy to come on the actual dinner, which maybe I should’ve asked to have it separately but I didn’t even think about this as most places don’t have gravy directly on the dish, plus the gravy was SUPER salty. The selection of veg was okay, but once again they were very salty. In conclusion - maybe we got them on an off day? But when we’re paying £18.50-£19 for a roast dinner we don’t expect an ‘off day’. I can truly say I’ve had better roasts at my nans care home. I wouldn’t go back as there are many better places in Cambridge to have a Sunday roast that have always been bang on every time.

The pub itself is so pretty - thatched roof, stunning conservatory and outdoor pods for those interested. Quintessential country side pub vibe, but classy. The food was divine - had the hangar steak for main and poached pear for dessert. Exquisite cooking. Highly recommend. Around a 15 min drive to Cambridge, so quite conveniently located as well.

We went for Saturday lunch. Superb ambience and great service. Good choice of food, including vegetarian options for mains and starters. My butterflied mackerel was good but had a few tiny bones which let it down

This establishment had the most wonderful food and although it is not cheap the food it top quality and worth every penny. I would dine there every week if I lived locally. Staff are efficient and really friendly. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful setting and delightful staff. Menu is full of options and very fresh. Quality wine list, and delicious food. I had a sandwich of fish fingers (goujons) and a cold crab dip appetizer that was very good. Dessert was the cheese board and was curated with local favorites that did not miss. Would recommend. And would recommend any of their sister locations. As we also ate at the Tickel Arms which was lovely.
