The Three Horseshoes is a haven in North Norfolk for people who love pubs with real character. Soak up the atmosphere in our unspoilt bar and dining rooms, or soak up the sunshine in our spacious walled garden.
The Horseshoes dates back to 1725, its long history evident in the traditional serving hatch (one of few surviving in Norfolk), pamment-tiled floors, scrubbed wooden tables and many authentic features. You can eat and drink in the snug atmosphere of our bar and dining rooms, warm and cosy in the winter and refreshingly cool in the summer. Or you can enjoy the glorious Norfolk outdoors in the sheltered environment of our walled garden, with plenty of space for adults, children and dogs.
Enjoy our simple, unfussy food, made with the best local produce, local ales, fine wines and, if you’re staying, stylish but cosy bedrooms. We are family-owned and family-run and pride ourselves on a warm welcome to all.
Another terrific January break at this wonderful pub, a hidden gem only a couple of miles from Wells and the coast. Friendly staff, great food, proper beer and dog friendly - what’s not to like. Comfortable room with a huge bathroom. We were sad to leave but we’ll be back. Kay, Dave and Dylan the dog 🐶
Great village pub with extensions and rooms, very friendly staff and a good selection of local ales. Log fire during the einter months. The food is very good indeed, but it's still a pub and let's hope it stays that way. Their pies are outstanding.
Came for dinner with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. The place itself is very pleasant and rustic, the staff were very polite and prompt. We both had the steak and ale pie and it was delicious, good portion size no shortage of anything. Great value also.
A wonderful experience. The room was well appointed with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. We ate in the pub for dinner, which was also excellent, tasty food, great service and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect as a base to explore Wells and the wider Norfolk coast. Highly recommended.
Came here with family on our Norfolk Holiday, most of us had one of their pies or burgers, the pies were quite frankly the best pies we've ever had. The burgers were huge and very nice also! The chips were like chip shop chips and went very well with the burgers. We had a big bowl of veg between the three of us who had pies. There was plenty of room either under the tables or beside for the dogs to relax. Would 100% recommend and will return if we are in the area.
