It wasn’t great. We had to pre order because we were a large party. We waited quite a while between starters and main- an hour from when we first entered. The chicken burger was stone cold and greasy. 4 people in the party had mussels- the amount that were unopened amounted to nearly a full portion. Mentioned it to the waiter who really didn’t give two hoots. I expected more- especially when they knew what food we were having. A bit of customer service wouldn’t have gone amiss either.
Unfortunately this is easily the worst pub food I've ever had and I'm not fussy! We went for a 2 course festive menu on Xmas eve and should have known as there was only us eating. The soup was tasteless and the main course was very close to being inedible, the beef was so tough I could have resoled my shoes with it. When I told the waitress she responded with aaaaah, as if she felt sorry for me! Never again, in my opinion avoid at all costs.
Good choice of dishes cooked to perfection would recommend to go there. Staff is really friendly .If you fancy a quiz night they do that as well. Sunday lunch perfect and thy often do deals like 2 for 1 on meals
Wow! This place is absolutely fantastic! Whilst on a course recently, the lunch was a trip out to the Three Horseshoes and I was really impressed! I love my food and trying new stuff, so whilst visiting Boro I thought I really had to try a parmo. OMG it was huge, cooked to perfection... So tender and tasty. My mouth is literally watering remembering it. Chips must be up there with the nicest pub chips I have ever had. I regularly come up north Yorks way on my motorbike... Might come a little bit further and bring the Mrs here for lunch. Bloody gorgeous!
Just had another fabulous lunch. Service very good, food lush and prices very reasonable, washed down with a refreshing lime & soda followed by add a pud for £3. Nice decor too.
