Lovely selection of real ales which are all nicely kept and very reasonably priced. Standard chain pub food however I was there for the delicious beer.
We stopped for a quick pint and a snack between train journeys. My girlfriend was feeling unwell and only fancied eating hash browns. They weren't on their own on the menu but the staff kindly cooked some for her, much to her delight. Beer was perfect.
Just stopped between trains for 30 mins. Very nice old building. Fuller's beers. Very pleasant service. Good pub, not cheap.
Came in for a few drinks after a couple times of being here, was immediately greeted by wonderful bar staff Chelsea and Robbie. They made me feel at home. I ordered food and sat outside, delicious sides served by Hailey. She was overly accommodating and ensured our food and drinks were topped up every-time she passed. Honestly great atmosphere, will definitely be returning!
Conveniently located to Reading station, it is an ideal spot to start and end any beer adventure in Reading. I sure used it. Nothing mind blowing on tap but the lines were clean and they had some of the good basics - engine and draught. Friendly bar staff. Great outdoor area. Clean bathrooms. I hear it’s an ideal spot to be when matches are shown on the big digital sign board in front of the station too.
