Proper pub with decent beer - plenty of cask options from local breweries. Good atmosphere and a roaring fire. What's not to love.
Good old pub with rooms. Stayed here for one night. Rooms are fine, if you like oldy worldy higedly pigidly rooms. Lots of character, if that what you're looking for. Not my thing, but I gave it 4 stars for what it is. The pub on the other hand is exactly what I like. I'd give it 5 stars for the pub alone.
What can I say? From the moment we arrived it seemed we were in a bubble, a heavenly bubble of warmth, laughter and cosiness. The creaking of the front door, the smell of the open fire - could have been a film set. But it wasn't, it was genuine hospitality. Bedrooms were lovely and snug, food was great and filling and the beer on tap was fresh. In the mornings breakfast was perfect and set us up well for the day's fishing. Only complaint, we kept banging our heads on the beams! Will come again with my wife next time. We'll done Lucy, you have got it just right!
Friendly staff, great food, great bedrooms! We stayed for one night as a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. The rooms were excellent, with nice touches such as courtesy jelly beans! The staff were friendly and helpful, with excellent quality beer and great food - both evening meal and breakfast.
Outstanding. A quintessentially old English inn, situated in the centre of this beautiful market town. The staff were exemplary. The decor of the rooms & public areas were stylish & the cleanliness of our gorgeous double room was of the highest standard. We had an evening meal (fish & chips) and a cooked breakfast; our meals were delicious. Indeed the Inn has won a number of culinary awards. & my partner loved the local (Flowerpots?) beer. Our stay was perfect, we highly recommend the Three Cups Inn. So to all at the Inn: Bravo!
