Been many many times to Thornton Lodge and never been disappointed. Sadly yesterday's visit was very disappointing. No olives, no lasagna, no pork dish, our favourite bottle of red wine out of stock, no hand pumped beer. Will be a while before we are back
Had a lovely meal at this Country pub. Really cosy when you go in and even has dog biscuits when you come in for our beloved pets!. Service was excellent from I think his name was Robert (apologies if wrong) really attentive and friendly. Food was lovely (the mince pie sundae is to die for) and beautiful gravy. Discovered by chance that this place does brunch. The empty car park suggests it's a little know fact or people don't rate it. We had coffee and the American pancakes with maple and bacon. Lovely. Definitely one worth discovering if you're in the area. If this was helpful please give it a like.
Didn't reserve a table but staff were very friendly and asked us to wait while one was sorted out - less than 5 min wait. Food and atmosphere - nothing to complain about and reasonably priced as well. Excellent service all round.
Good food. Good service and handy location on a main route through Thornton to Fleetwood. The junction nearby is currently a nightmare however! The waiter we had was great with the kids, really patient with them. We had the fish goujon butty, it was quite big and filling and not too badly priced. Kids had the 2 courses for £6.99 and they were good portions too. The pictures are of the food after we had started eating as we were all starving and tucked straight into it. The decor of the pub is lovely and it was a peaceful place to sit for lunch.
