In August 2015, this much loved local was converted into a trendy American Hamburger restaurant by new management However, in June 2016 another change of management took it back to being a traditional pub.
It is a pleasant place with a public bar and a separate small dining room. The bar is used for darts and pool and for winter days the log burner is a welcome sight, especially if you're fresh from a walk on the nearby Offa’s Dyke path. Just a footnote about Treflach. It is Welsh for "Healthy Town" and is a reminder that hereabouts. the very penetrable national frontier is close by! Was once owned by the Border Brewery of Wrexham.

Great place to watch the rugby, great food - the chips were some of the best I’ve had in any pub!! That’s saying something. Good beer and range, veg options available and nice atmosphere. Very welcoming, which is a novelty for a country pub. Would recommend, if you’re in the area
Pop in from the caravan site down the road (15 mins walk) greeted by a very friendly owner, we said we hadn't booked a table he said no problem so we ordered drinks & he brought us menus over. The food was superb ,me and my wife were stuffed! The food and drinks were very reasonable staff very friendly we will definitely be back again next year.
We had a fantastic meal here. The menu has a really good amount of choice and we were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. The service was excellent and we were made to feel really welcome with a lovely friendly atmosphere. It was quiz night so the place was buzzing. Would totally recommend.
Incredible Sunday roast. Presentation was immaculate, everything tasted top-tier and to top it off, the prices were great! Desert is a must have as well. Service was also excellent, all staff welcoming and attentive. Happy to help you with anything. Inside decor is lovely and the views from from beer garden are stunning. Highly recommend.
Really good home cooked and tasty food. Friendly and accommodating staff. Although it was a “local” pub we were made to feel welcome even our sometimes grumpy and barky dog! Thank you all

The main feature is the home cooked food which is served every day. The music in the background does not impose itself. The Howard Miller skeleton long case clock is a notable feature.
