Been to the Boathouse a handful of times, unfortunately the food on each occasion was below par, in both taste and presentation. Each time visited, it was around the Christmas period, DJ present on each night, classic tunes, ideal for work events. What you see is what you get. Without the great company/people I attended with, these nights would have been memorable for all the wrong reasons. I hate to leave negative reviews and seldom do, but sorry Boathouse, I’m sure you can do better 😔
We were asked to provide a roulette table for a very special event. The venue is wonderfully decorated with mass of cherry blossom.The endless views over the lake make for a stunning backdrop to an event.The staff were super helpful and accommodating making the event run perfectly.Thank you for having us.❤️♦️♠️♣️

We arranged a memorial celebration at The Danson Boathouse. We were taken care of by Rosie and her team who were very professional. The food was really nice, the venue was clean, staff very friendly and bubbly. The guests enjoyed the outdoor terrace. Overall we were extremely pleased.
Sunday carvery, and our first time at the boathouse we had no idea what to expect. Starters came quickly after ordering. The squid was hot and well dressed, baked camembert well presented and tasty. However the salad was starting to turn and didn't look as appealing. The Salmon was well cooked and glazed, not dry. The carvery veg however was a little hit and miss. The roasties were delicious! But the yorkies were soggy and dry. Cauliflower cheese just wasn't rich enough and the carrots over cooked. The interior of the boathouse tries to impress, with it's twinkling tree canopies and fake foliage (selfies were on show). However most of the design aesthetic here is firmly fit for the 60s. If this place was refurbed, it has huge potential especially with the terrace. The staff are very friendly, smiling faces, can't fault them there. Good for those who want a traditional roast with no frills. Accessible entrance and lift.
