Had a great meal at lunchtime, I went for the Natchos. It was a great choice. Highly recommend this place. I first went there 25 years ago, it still holds a place in my heart. Had many a late night here, camping locally......... that was when my body was still capable of surfing 😜
We had a nice late lunch here. All the foods were amazing. I had their signature fish and chips and it was amazing. They have various selection of vegetarian and vegan food as well. The staff are amazing and the vibe is super warm and friendly.
Staff for the pub and B&B were friendly. The food was okay, with a range of local beers available. There were lots of options for vegetarians and vegans, and they allowed us to bring our dog in. Location is fantastic, right in the centre of Croyde. Be warned about booking rooms though if you have a dog: we booked a room here to stay nearby some other friends in Croyde. The website says the place is dog friendly yet the next day we received a call to say that the room we had booked didn’t allow dogs because there’s carpet in the room. Usually this would be fine, however there was nothing to indicate this on their website during booking. The entire dining area is carpeted so this also felt a bit disingenuous. Needless to say we had to cancel our booking and search for another place last minute.
This establishment never, ever, dissapoints. Had the best meal I've probably ever had there today, the awesome beef bap and roasties from the 'specials' board. A real winter warmer; don't take it off the menu I'm coming back for more 😋
I visited the Thatch while on holiday to eat out for the night. One word to describe it and that is amazing ! The building itself is beautiful and the location is fab. The staff are super friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. The food is incredible and the serving sizes are incredibly generous definitely worth the money. I had a beef burrito bowl and my partner had scampi and chips with a side of cheesy garlic bread. The meal had no faults and was incredibly tasty! I highly recommend visiting the thatch if you are in Croyde for their amazing food and wonderful staff!
