Our very first Individual Inn, the Tempest Arms dates back to the 17th century and has long been known as the meeting place and has seen it all… Be welcomed into a convivial atmosphere by our lovely, friendly staff; there are the bar areas and dining rooms, with quiet corners and alcoves, plump cushions, roaring log fires and hand pulled ales. We had a wedding here, it was so well organised! The team couldn’t do enough to help us. We had a lot of people stay at the hotel and everyone was so complimentary. Highly recommend. Thank you team tempest for making our big day so amazing!!
All round wonderful experience, the rooms are lovely, great size, clean and to a high standard. Likewise the same can be said about the pub inside and out. Its a very nice place to be with pleasant atmosphere. Makes you want to sit, drink great beer and eat good food with family and friends for hours on end. I could not fault a single thing with my stay, but the stand out thing for me and what i think really makes this place tick is the staff! So friendly, incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough for you. No matter how busy it got the level of service was second to non. I would highly recommend and will no doubt be returning again.
Cannot fault this place! We came for a short weekend break with parents and were blown away with how gorgeous the rooms were, how tasty the food was and how amazing the staff and service was. Even during very busy times! The rooms were modern, clean and had stunning views. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all beautiful. Great choices and very tasty. The staff are an absolute credit to the place. Super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them and as stated previously, even when it was extremely busy it didn’t affect the service. Will definitely be retuning soon!
Weve been here a few times since the reopen, food is always really high standard. The steak and pork belly is especially nice! Can 100% recommend the caramel apple pie too. Staff are always really friendly and attentive.
This was a fantastic Christmas get away! The hotel is beautiful and our room had a fantastic view of the streams, the hills and sheep. We wanted to do a local walk and the pub offered 3 which loop back to the pub and had leaflets which we could take with the full directions. We booked into the restaurant and had a lovely meal. It is really lovely that the restaurant hosts English sparkling wine which was a lovely find. The only complaint was the dinner service staff, a little slow and had to repeat requests to them, such as for chutney on the cheese board. The bar staff were friendly and lovely to talk to. The bar area was beautiful with the open fire and Christmas trees. All in all a beautiful stay. We loved it!
