Used to go here many years ago. Pleased to find it just the same. Original, unspoilt, friendly and with very reasonable prices. Great traditional pub.

Absolutely cracking, proper pub. No frills, great staff, great beer, great location. Ideal place to watch a match. I can’t speak highly enough of Sinead and the girls behind the bar. I’ll be back!
Original traditional BRITISH PUB. One of only two left on the Walworth road. Staff and locals are very welcoming. You get people from all over the world visiting from hostel or students. and that's just how welcoming staff are. No judgement!! and 1860 is how long the buildings been there and has always been called the Tankard. It's a precious place!!!
I love this pub. It might not be packed busy, but it's a local British pub, where the bar lady remembers your name and what you drink. Friendly people, great atmosphere.
