The Talbot has been welcoming guests for over 400 hundred years.with its black and white timbered front, joining four buildings, the oldest part dating back to around 1550.
The Talbot's oak panelled dining room with its fine carved over-mantle, combined with good old fashioned service is an experience worth having. With our log fire, award winning cask ales (entered in the Good Beer Guide for a 10th Year) and over 15 wines by the glass and free wifi, The Talbot is just the place to meet and for lunch, an evening meal or just a coffee.
We have added 6 new bedrooms in the old stable cottage. 3 which are easy access on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor this now brings us up to 13 bedroomsWe are proud to announce that The Talbot has been given the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence - for having good guest reviews (4.5 out of 5).For those warmer days we have a courtyard garden which can be quite a sun trap and a heated area for cooler times.
The Talbot is located just off of Ledbury's High Street with its Market House on stilts, its fine buildings and its unique specialist shops for some really good retail therapy. Ledbury is very easy to get to. Only a few miles off Junction two of the M50, about an hours drive from Birmingham and 3 hours from London. We have a railway station and very good bus connections.

Rooms slightly dated, service and location is very good. However, the noise from outside was incredibly disruptive. The windows, walls and doors offer no sound proofing. The bar playing loud music well past midnight, followed by the punters leaving was awful. The noise really brings this place down. Everyone walking past can be heard, every car going past. I'm a light sleeper so barely got a wink. I'm harsh on hotel reviews, but this is one of the worst sleeps I've ever had.
Lovely place. Would give 6 stars if we could. Very friendly. Really old and cosy. Steak night on a Friday. Really looking forward to it. Rooms are big, very clean
All staff was very friendly! And the food was absolutely wonderful! Will definitely be coming back next month! Thank you all!!! (I haven’t marked you on the room due to I haven’t yet stayed in one, however I’m more than sure they’re just as good. I will try them out!)
Arrived after a long car journey with only 10 minutes evening food service left but were accommodated 😊 Lovely spacious room & very large comfortable bed. Great choice of breakfast & evening food menu 😋 Very friendly locals and great friendly staff that couldn't do enough. Highly recommended 👌
Service fantastic, relaxing atmosphere, staff friendly, professional and helpful. I was so disappointed to see that the nut roast wasn't on the menu, as l am a vegetarian l was so looking forward to my lunch, however l was soon reassured that it was still available and l hope it always will be as its delicious. My husband had the roast beef and having had the pork on past visits was so impressed. Would love a few extra vegetables in the bowl though, that would be my only suggestion. We tell everyone we know that Sunday lunch at the Talbot is AMAZING.
