A great place to stay. The chalet rooms are spacious warm, and away from noise. The meals generous and definitely home cooked. Steve and Wendy very friendly and helpful, ideal hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The bar decor is a bit tired, but the pub closed for a fortnight of redecoration after my stay, which should sort this.
Popped in for lunch. We found the internal decor an odd mis mash, but were met with friendly staff and a warm fire. The food was great, better than expected, very impressed! Home cooked, generous portions, great flavour. Would eagerly return if in the area.
We spent a fantastic week in the 'Half Pint Cottage' owned by Wendy & Steve at the Talbot Arms. Very comfortable & clean, well appointed, with everything you need. We had dinner, next door, in the Talbot Arms most evenings. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. We worked our way through the 'Specials Menu'.... Wendy & Steve and all the staff were fantastic hosts. Thanks for a great week !! We would thoroughly recommend, and we will book again next year.
Food was fantastic. Sunday carvery, plentiful and beautifully cooked. The best roast beef I've had in years, and the roast gammon, wow!Already booked again! This will be a regular haunt from now on.
Great Sunday carvery, and a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of space, clean and bright, nice garden, friendly staff, and yummy desserts too. Highly recommend. Nice half an hour walk from Lyme Regis to earn your dinner!
