Had popped in as spur of the moment on passing. The pub was Brain's brewery now Marstons brewery and food was never great but had been a while since I last visited. I know why now. Ordered Sunday evening with my teen son and used the qr app at our table. I ordered drinks and food with a mixed grill for my son and a steak and ale pie meal for myself. Food arrived but my steak pie was cold in the middle. I made a complaint at the bar and my son finished his meal and I received my replacement which was clearly burnt black on cutting into it! Horrendous and overpriced food.
Very welcoming warm and clean, decent pub grub. Good beer selection. There are lots of old pics on the walls from yesteryear and a nice view from beer garden when the sun shows its face 😊
Have met up with friends here a couple of times. It's a nice place. Decent menu choice. Prices have increased since my last visit, but that's to be expected given the cost of living and other increases at the moment. It was still a lovely evening out for a meal with friends.
This was my first visit and I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. The location is quite nice and there are plenty of different areas to sit and enjoy your food. The food was good and the menu has lots to offer. Overall a very pleasant experience.
6 of us had lovely meals here this evening. All the food was good and great service, catering for 2 vegetarians and 1 dairy allergy as well. Deserts were also lovely. We all left here satisfied and happy. Thanks Rylan and Family.
