First time we have ever been there was a band on. We really enjoyed it and I would definitely go again. There was more of a community ale house vibe than local boozer. Very welcoming
What a fantastic place. Great audience, great atmosphere, great bar service. What a warm and friendly place. My band Not Guilty played here on Saturday night. Everyone so helpfull making it easy to load gear in, set up etc. Good audience too! Can't wait to return. Thanks for a brilliant night.

Swiftys is very much a community pub. The owners Michelle and Rob are brilliant as are the staff that work there. As a single older female I wouldn’t normally enter a pub on my own but here you are made welcome straight away. I can honestly say that I feel that I can go into the pub on my own. I have made new friends in this establishment and I enjoy their company tremendously.
A great little pub that has done so much for Meir. The owner takes no messing and has no riff raff causing trouble. I find the negative review regarding free food a bit odd. The free food is offered by the community group Meir Matters next door. I also find it quite rich that the reviewer harked on about needing free food when their most recent review is for Smash-on-Trent, not something I can afford as an individual let alone for a family. Maybe this person as a grudge! Since the pub has moved the atmosphere is even better.
