Cosy backstreet free house, serving 18 rotating beers: 4 cask, 14 keg. Showcasing the best breweries.
What a nice pub. Excellent real ales. Great vibe. Vynil records played. Customers very friendly. Very traditional, bare boards, nothing fancy. Suits me down to the ground.
Love this place, one of the last truly genuine proper pubs left in Bristol. It’s a real treat for me me to come here for a pint when my mrs lets me out…
Proper old school Bristol boozer with a good selection of beer. Cosy place, with a good vibe for a Wednesday night. Mixed crowd, will be back again.
Really good pub. Great quality craft beer in a traditional pub. Kernel, Moor, LHG and more. Vinyl music makes a great addition to the atmosphere. Loved it today. Should be mentioned more often on places to go in Bristol. Loved it!
Food wise i can only comment on the Sunday roast potatoes which i believe to be cooked from frozen, but with a bit of gravy and no extra charge; it's a 5/5 from me. Service is second to none, with Elmer himself often manning the pumps; which consist of a wide range of tasty beers from local breweries, and at a reasonable price (often less than a fiver). Patron the dog sometimes makes an appearance, although she is only there to serve up cuddles and good doggo. The atmosphere is always brilliant; the hum of customers all chatting in and around their friends, to the bar staff and to each other. All friendly and all good energy. This is exentuated by a rock, funk & soul music background, often spun up on the decks at just the right volume to enjoy it alongside all other aspects of the pub and people.
