The Swan Inn is a traditional 17th Century pub specializing in real ales & home cooked foods, privately owned and managed by the current licensee's for the past 29 years. Near to the Madjeski Stadium, the Swan is a popular meeting place of the local business community & home to the famous Irish Wolfhound 'Mr. Niall' - official mascot of the London Irish R.F.C. You can dine in the bar or restaurant at lunchtimes and evenings, were we offer food which is all cooked from scratch on the premises, with choices from our kitchen such as soups, pates, curries, chili con carne etc. We are famous for our homemade steak & ale pies and fresh cod (with homemade batter). You can be assured that the freshest of ingredients is used - all locally sourced. Our handmade, homemade 8oz Burgers are to die for! We are also well known for our BBQ's for private parties. Our slogan is 'Real Ale & Real Food'. To find us take junction 11 of the M4 and follow Basingstoke sign, at the 1st set of traffic lights turn left for Three Mile Cross, we are on left opposite the petrol station, half a mile from the motorway. Staff at The Swan Inn are always happy to give help and advice.
Good local pub on two sides with great food and great ale. Visit many times over the years and it's always consistent. Decent sized car park and amusing plaques in the loo! May be at few accessibility issues due to the age of the building. Chilli burger and sausages are superb!
Very welcoming and charming old character pub with old style decor to match. Food is served in good time and is what I call great comfort food. There is plenty of parking and split rooms to choose from, one more of a traditional quieter salon and the other a more open bar.
What an excellent place. You must visit this authentic pub
Very old pub with good beer and great pub-favourite food. Ample parking. Friendly staff, my wife was swapping recipes with the chef by the end of lunch. Very convenient location, near J11 of the M4, but in a small village. Will definitely go again.
Very friendly and accommodating. The pub had stopped serving food, but the land lady still cooked us some even though she was the only one on duty at the time!
