Beautiful country pub in the Chew Valley/Mendips; a haven for walkers and diners: outside seating, great food, fine ales - a place to unwind & eat well :)
Rowberrow is an ex-mining village, and The Swan has been created from 3 knocked-through miners cottages, overlooking the heather strewn beauty of Beacon Batch. The pub has been around since the late 1700's, and started life as a cider house but the real draw of The Swan is the food and of course the delicious offering of ale to complement each dish.

Delicious Mussels but small portion size for the price sadly. The gnocchi was also very small in portion size. The location is great and we had a lovely walk first. They were very busy but we did wait a long time between courses and for the bill.
Beautiful country pub with rooms - we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were all so friendly. Our room was superb, with great facilities and nice to have a mini bottle of Prosecco, water, tea and coffee ‘on the house’. Our evening meal was very good, served in the buzzing restaurant by the log-burner and breakfast was equally as good. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
Lovely country pub at Rowberrow,narrow lane to access it but well worth seeking out. Good food, friendly and helpful service. Butcombe beers 🍻 dog friendly, large car park.
We had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Swan. Delicious food, beautifully cooked, great service and atmosphere. Beer was good too. Excellent location to start & finish a walk. Highly recommend. Incredibly popular, booking essential.
Love coming here. Food and drink is great. Great roasts too. It's a perfect stop before and after a stomp or ride around Rowberrow or heading up onto the mendips. If you're driving you can park and get it validated in the pub.
