Welcoming village free house in the scenic Ceiriog valley. The cosy red-tiled bar features a central fireplace which separates the TV and darts area from the servery, favoured by the locals. A dining room to the side often features themed food nights. An outside area is accessed through the dining room. More outside space is being developed to include decking and a bridge over the small brook. Cask beers can be from any origin, including nationals such as Wells & Young or Thwaites down to local breweries such as Stonehouse or Woods. You may even find something from St Austell or Sharps. Not open lunchtimes Mon-Fri in the winter and other hours may vary, ring first to check. Mon-Fri 4.30-7.30 sees beer and wine prices discounted.

The Swan inn pub was an amazing experience, amazing menu with a great team. By far one of the best pub dinners we have ever had. I would recommend the Rich Chocolate and Sour Cherry dessert pot. Thank you Swan Inn Team.
Impossible to fault this pub and the owner. We were walking the Offa’s Dyke Path (2 miles from the pub). The owner collected us (by prior arrangement), made us extremely welcome and is an excellent chef. Top marks. Dinner was outstanding as was the breakfast, after which he drove us back to the foot path. Room was lovely, clean and very nicely decorated. The bar was lively with locals and tourists alike with a great selection of ales. 11 out of 10!
While staying in Glyn Cairog, we popped in the Swan for a few drinks. Lovely atmosphere, great customers, made to feel welcome. The landlord and lady are great hosts, quality beer, and very clean pub. The outside garden is beautiful. They serve food will be back to try next time.
Had a family meal here. Traditional pub serving love fresh food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area . We will return. Thanks for a nice evening.
Stopped for lunch. The food was delicious, packed with flavour and very friendly staff. Traditional pub and dog friendly. Good selection of beers too. Only gave 3 stars for the room as we didn't stay or see one but would be happy to stay here.
