My best friends got married yesterday and had their reception at The Crooked Swan. What can I say other than just how incredible it was from start to finish?! If 'hospitable' was a person, it is Meg (Owner), who made sure everything was perfect for the happy couple! The reception was held in the restaurant as there was a private party in the Ballroom, and it was absolutely perfect. Plenty of space, able to accommodate other diners still.. and easy access to the bar.. Service was second to none and the whole team are nothing short of friendly, approachable, and all too willing to help. Having always worked in hospitality myself, the hours are long and it takes special people to be capable of still maintaining a positive attitude and atmosphere from start to finish - the whole team at The Crooked Swan do it, and they do it well!! Food was cooked to perfection, well presented, served hot and super tasty - thank you to the Kitchen team! Thank you all so much for making such an incredible day so special for my best friends, with no attention to detail spared!! You guys and girls are brilliant!! Would recommend without a shadow of a doubt!
Came in for lunch as a group of 14. Staff were so lovely and accommodating, really went the extra mile for us! Food portions were huge and everything was delicious. Great vibes. Would 100% recommend to come here
We had an amazing stay at the Crooked Swan, we stayed with our 18 month old son in the family room which was huge and so beautiful. All the staff were amazing with our son - patient, friendly and so kind - nothing was too much trouble. The food at dinner and breakfast was all delicious. I would highly recommend a stay here!
We just needed somewhere to stay for one night on our way to Devon, and I came across the Crooked Swan in my searches and am so happy I did. The interior design of the rooms here was so unique and beautiful, with the kind of charm you can't get at large hotels. We selected Room Three for our stay because of the large bathroom with a bathtub in the center + double showers and loved it- I will probably come back to stay here again just for the bathroom. The restaurant dinner and breakfast were delicious too, and everyone was really welcoming! Also worth noting Room Three's mood lighting was perfect for a romantic atmosphere. It was a little loud in the early morning outside our window since it happened to be rubbish pickup day, but everything about the hotel was so perfect it didn't bother me / is out of their control anyways.
We had a dinner for 31 at The Crooked Swan this past weekend and it was stellar. Not only did we have the privacy and wonderful surroundings of The Ballroom all to ourselves, but also the food was top drawer and team looking after us were peerless. The way the kitchen turned our 3 delicious courses for everyone was a wonder. We had friends staying in the rooms too and they were very impressed with the decor and comfort. You can see why this super spot is starting to get such a great reputation. Highly recommended. Especially for large group functions too.
