The bar at The Swan is very much like your traditional country bar next door. But we’ve added a few contemporary twists; forming the unique experience you will remember us for. There are plenty of cosy armchairs to sink into of course, and a big open log fire as well; making it a great place to sit back and read the morning papers over coffee. The dimmed lights from the antler chandeliers set a mood that is both warm and intimate. Relax indoors or out. We have a lovely terrace with some of the best seats in the house – the perfect place to retreat to during the summer months. Booked for lunch as we had our dog we had to eat in the bar which was fine as only one other table. Very poor selection for those on a planted based diet, service was slow, waited lengthy periods at the bar as no staff present. Beautiful location
We just stayed 2 nights at the Swan Hotel and are already planning our next trip! The room (Classic Double) was well decorated and was very warm and cosy. The staff were very friendly and kind, we had a small problem with the blinds in our room and it was fixed very quickly. The breakfast was lovely! I had the vegetarian plant based full English breakfast and was very happy. The staff were also happy to make swaps/additions. We just wish we'd planned to have dinner there one evening too. We went on a short walk around the town and thoroughly enjoyed that. Overall, it was a very relaxed and comfortable stay.
The standard of accommodation here is excellent, our room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself has a luxury feel but the vibe is laid back and welcoming. The food was great too - we stayed for dinner and breakfast. We were very happy with the quality of the food and service. The village is quite compact but is charming and picturesque. I would definitely recommend a short stay here.
I recently attended a wedding at The Swan and had a fantastic time. The rooms were incredibly spacious and very clean, though a tad too warm for me. The food was superb—compliments to the chef. The staff behind the bar and those organizing the wedding were exceptional. Special thanks to Rob, James, Valentina, Molly, Flora, Ilya, Maria, Natalia, Julia and many more for their outstanding service. I appreciate everyone else who made the night memorable, even if I didn't catch their names. Overall, a perfect experience thanks to the cheery and helpful staff. I would certainly recommend the swan hotel to anyone looking to have a wonderful stay in Bibury and its surrounding areas. Loved our stay. Great location and scenery! Wonderful to walk around the town, stunningly gorgeous. We had a 2 story cottage. Living room downstairs and bedroom up the stairs. Cute bar and atmosphere. Maria, who works there, is fabulous!
