We had a family get together here on a Sunday. Roast dinners were huge and very tasty. Not the cheapest but you do definitely get your monies worth.
We visited last weekend and I was so happy with the service (very attentive), the rooms (0urs was massive with a walk in Shower and 2 TV's!) And the cost of a meal for six people including drinks was brilliant value (below £200). Thank you for a great stay.
Great staff, great breakfast. Ruined by very poor beds and noisy rooms in the new part. No sleep due to noisy wood floor above and could hear people move in squeaky beds and snore. Beds all very uncomfortable and we had been in 3 different rooms. shame as staff are great.
We stayed here along with a large number of guests for our wedding. We also live in the town so use it frequently just for a drink. It's a great pub with a good outdoor seating area. The rooms are great for a reasonable price. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We also had lunch there the day after our wedding and they comfortably seated 50+ people with the food being some of the best we had in a long time. All important the food portion sizes are great especially the breakfasts.
Just stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are quite large and comfortable and have an enormous shower in the bathroom. The hotel is dog friendly and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. All the food we had was excellent and the menu catered for all tastes. We will return!
