A lovely menu with specials that change regularly. Beer is excellent and a good choice of ales. The staff are lovely, very attentive without being overbearing. I would recommend The New Inn but, book a table to avoid disappointment.
Sunday roast, lucky with weather at end of October, and so we were able to sit outside. Else you'd have to book for an inside table. Great roasts, we had lamb, and chicken.
Yesterday I hired a space at the pub called The Mousehole for my baby shower. It was such a lovely afternoon, the staff were so friendly and attentive, checking in on us, asking if we need help setting up, nothing was too much, considering it was a Sunday lunch time too. I was also allowed to add my own decor to the room, and bring my own cake! We had a buffet and the food that came in it was amazing, so much choice and delicious! I got to choose beforehand what I would like and they were also open to suggestions too. Thank you so much again!
I think the pub it is in a very good location, just next to a canal so you can have a lovely walk before lunch if u want and has plenty of outside space. Service was excellent, very nice staff at the bar. I would say the food was ok, looks good in the reviews pictures, but could do with lots of improvements, vegetables overcooked and well in advance prepared. Not at all that nice crispy feeling on potatoes...
We were served with food of high quality in this pub. Particularly the Steak Tagliata was amazing. Could have been a five star rating if not cleanliness - of a pile of ten plates brought to us for individual use, two were found to have the salad sauce remains (one of the photos). Less than desirable.
