I had a Sunday roast beef dinner, absolutely gorgeous, could not fault. My parents had child portion roast, ample size portion. Well done we will return 👍
Beautiful setting for a hotel/pub/restaurant. We sat in the garden, had a lovely drink and delicious food. The ploughman's had good chunks of cheese. They have a good range of food on the menu and a wide range of drinks. The staff are professional and friendly. The pub is dog friendly. The hotel is positioned alongside the Thames near to a lock and close to Walton On Thames. There is a large garden with seating facing the Thames. We paddleboarded up to the river bank where it was easy to pull up the board and lay them on the grass.
Friendly staff . We had four poster bed room with good views of the river .breakfast was very good, we had our evening meals while there ( extra cost) not expensive for London area and more than enough food for anyone . You really need a car as it's a bit out of the way .don't forget ULEZ. We will return .
We only sampled the Pub with was in a Wonderful location right on the river. The weather was fine so able to sit outside and order food. We had the pies which were stunning and came with a good helping of mash and peas. Serve was good and not long to wait. Didn't realy get to sample the inside because the weather was so good. Toilets reasonable, but disappointed with the state of the Dyson hand dryer which was dirty and quite frankly unacceptable. Just dropped in on way out to a waiting car so not able to mention. Sure this can be easily sorted by our next visit, because it is worth a second visit.
I loved this gorgeous old pub by the river, our we stayed here on our last night in England. Our room was very comfortable with a view of the river. London gave us a lovely sunset. We had a great breakfast and the weather was so lovely we sat outside and enjoyed watching the swans and their babies. Our flight (to Aussie) was in the evening so we chilled there and had a bit of lunch, before leaving for Heathrow. A great place would stay here again.
