The Haycutter is situated in the beautiful surroundings of Broadham Green, nestling between Oxted, Hurst Green and Tandridge in Surrey. The pub dates back to 1851 and is believed to be the only pub in the country to be called the Haycutter. A huge bar greets you on entering from the terrace area and a light bright garden room overlooks the lawns beyond. In the historic part of the pub you will find little areas to hide yourself away and relax in, in front of roaring fires on nippy days.
We look forward to welcoming you,
Chris and the Haycutter team.

Amazing place. Great staff and company we were with. The food especially the Crispy Beef salad was bloody amazing. Could eat that every day. Took a bit of time for drinks, even though it wasn’t really busy. But hey, no big deal. Great food, place and polite friendly staff done the trick. Thanks and a very warm thanks for the evening. Happy Christmas.
Always packed out on weekends so I thought the food would be better, not as good as it was 2 years ago. £23 for a cod loin with seafood stew turned out to be mainly potatoes, I dont eat or like potatoes so a waste of money for a disappointing plate of food. My friend had the salmon with lentils and veg, looked nice but there were so many lentils she left most of them. Bulking out a dish with the cheapest ingredient seems to be the thing now days, typical of British pubs I suppose but charging as much as possible. Staff were friendly as always but seems to be better to order basic things like the steak Baguette or snack bits here. Best for drinks as super dog friendly and a nice place to hide from awful british weather.
We have visited there for a lunch. Great atmosphere, beautiful food. It was really busy however we were looked after very nicely and efficiently. The car park is very spacious with lots of outdoor seating for both dining and relax afterwards. Definaitely will be back. Thank you.
We had a delicious 🤤 anniversary meal as a family. Lovely setting. Service was slow due to issues with printer in the kitchen. But complementary drinks were provided as an apology.
As we approached the pub and saw that it had a very well kept patio area with heaters turned and the inside had a roaring fire with lots of smiling people we knew that we were on onto a special pub. The decor was warm and inviting. The seats were comfortable and staff friendly welcoming and attentive all big ticks. The food that was served was good value for money as portion sizes were good and food was fresh and cooked perfectly cooked. We all enjoyed our meals and will absolutely be returning ***
