About us

The Plume of Feathers is thought to be one of the oldest pubs in Hampshire and Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have stayed here in October 1645 on his way to Basing House.

Today The Plume of Feathers offers not only a friendly and cosy 'village pub' atmosphere and some of the finest dining in the Surrey and Hampshire border area, but also comfortable Bed and Breakfast accommodation - ideal for those seeking somewhere to stay in Farnham, Fleet or the surrounding areas of Surrey and Hampshire. Even though we are a 500 year old property, we have free Wi Fi throughout the bar, restaurant and rooms!.

Beautiful Pub and Rooms, Food was amazing, ate the small plates menu for lunch, plume burger for tea, and then a freshly cooked breakfast. Rooms are small and very cosy, but fantastic to stay in as really homely! Will stay again if we are in the area again!

I came in for a quick lunch as I wanted to try out some of the new menu since the ownership changed. Ordered the sausage and mash. It was much better than your normal pub food, you can tell that the chef put a great deal of attention on the dish and it was fantastic. Great service from the lady at the bar as well. Thanks Emma and Gaz for the great experience and will look forward to coming back to try out more. Also, I've been told of lots of nice summer events coming up at the pub so hope to experience that too once it warms up!

The management/owner has changed since my visit last year. THANK GOODNESS ā€¦.whilst I was taking a couple of weeks break in Crondall village last June just two minutes down the road from this beautiful inn, I had the dreadful misfortune to wander into the place and experienced the most obnoxious barman ever. However we now have new people and I will be returning next summer. It is idyllic here AND a bonus was they sold the beautiful locally produced wine by the glass and yes only a few minutes walk away from the local wine producer, how special is that ! Good luck to the new owners, Iā€™m reading some nice reviews.

New landlords new rules. This is now a dog šŸ• friendly pub. šŸ‘šŸ» Previous owner did not allow dogs inside the pub even though the area attracts a lot of dog walkers. It's good to know we can bring our dog inside in the winter months. The food was lovely. Good service and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

A Great Stay in Every Respect Both Gary & Emma were warm & friendly hosts from the outset & went out of their way to ensure that I was happy. The en-suite room was clean & very comfortable - particularly the double bed. You could choose to eat in the restaurant area - or in the main bar - with a menu that offered a range of classic pub dishes to a high standard - delicious. Breakfast is a choice between Continental (which was very good) and the traditional full-English I would highly recommend The Plume of Feathers - & really enjoyed my stay - thank-you.
