Great people , food and most importantly warmth love to them all
The people of south holmwood village are amazing. They look after the war veterans every single year. For past 75 yrs London cab drivers and the taxi charity for military veterans have been stopping off at holmwood on the way to Worthing where the local residents lay cakes teas coffee sandwiches like you'd never tasted before 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Everything you'd expect from a small village social club. Many club members bear an uncanny resemblance to each other, including husbands and wives. Outsiders can be guaranteed a friendly welcome of "you 'baint from round 'ere are ee?" before being asked how long you're expecting to stay.
Friendly and welcoming. Social distancing protocols in place. Need to book a table and order/pay using app.
A stopping point for veterans, where the whole village make us feel most welcome every year.
