Nice little pub, went there for a friends birthday. Decent size carpark and also a decent size undercover area for smokers. Only reason for 4 stars was no coke on tap yet in their new cocktails bar and also didn't try any food, am sure this rating will change when we return soon
Very friendly staff, the land-lady and barmaid both very nice and chatty. Nice big pub with a local boozer feel to it - was well impressed to find out they were not only a pub but a Tandoori Restaurant too - as their kitchen is leased out and they provide a full menu for eat-in and take-away service. We had a couple of decent pints, and a couple of unexpected great currys when we were there - all at reasonable prices too. Plenty of parking out the back, big enclosed 'smoking area', a function room that it looked like you could book and hire, and lots of tables with a couple of large-screen TV's too - they even have a projector and big-screen for event's. It was our first time here, it won't be our last now we know this gem exists in Mytchett.
Worst lodge I had ever been. It is basically a pub with a room to sleepover. Went there for a 2 pm checkin and the bar was locked. The bartender is the receptionist. She just handed over the key and that's it! Had to go backa nd wait there to get the Wifi password. Utter slow internet. The heater was working the whole day at maximum and was unable to turn it off and at night it went off adding to the misery. The only pros was the toilet was clean and had a decent price which I still believe is not worth. Couldn't sleep the whole night as there was sound from the bar the whole night!! And the worst one was they did not have an ironbox. I was having an interview the next day and they just said they don't have and offered no help. I bet they are the only lodge having no ironbox. Booked this room as this was the only option near to the company I went as all the other hotels and rooms were already booked due to some big event on the same day. Never ever recommend unless your only option is to sleep in a railway station!.
