No music playing. Very small choice of food. Had to ask for pancakes to be refilled for the duck- they're literally sitting in packets underneath the counter. Sauces clearly diluted. Having visited another of these all you can eat places in Bracknell, I was disappointed, to say the least. Way over priced.
I wonder why they have less than 4 stars. Yesterday was my third visit after the pandemic. I do visit up market restaurants usually and review the really good ones when it's worth the money. Despite not being in the same league, there is absolutely nothing less to what Mimosa offers. Each and every dish I tried, be it Sushi, Momos, Korean BBQ, Singapore noodles, Chinese noodles & fried rice, Sweet and sour chicken, spare ribs, Lamb rogan josh, Tikka masala and finally Gulab Jaamoon were all 5 stars in taste. Yes it's an all you can eat buffet but maintaining the same standard across so many South Asian cuisines deserves a greater rating and popularity. The ambience is very nice and the service is great. All this for almost half the price for the family meal because children pay less. Keep it up.
We had our Matrons retirement meal at Mimosa. Before the event, the manager was so helpful and kind. We were able to set up and decorate, they catered for 30 people and we were set off to the side. We liked that you could pay as you arrived, order a drink, then have a seat. We stayed until the end, the staff were kind, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was good and there was a good variety. We'll be using them again for work events. Thank you so much.
Visited on a bank holiday Monday and the place was empty. The food seemed to have been sitting out all day. All the sauces were congealed and chewy or rock hard. Everything was pretty tasteless and there’s not a lot of choice for an all you can eat. The salad was pretty fresh (bar the lettuce) and you can’t go wrong with cheap and cheerful ice cream. Service was non existent. I don’t think anyone actually spoke to us once we’d paid.
This restaurant looked huge from the outside and it lived to its image, the inside was a large area that caters for small and large groups. We paid for the buffet lunch and were told we needed to purchase drinks separately from the bar 😶 There was a lot of food on display, but very little to choose from because it was tasteless. You can tell that everything was pre-cooked when it was bought in bulk, then warmed up and served to the dinners to eat. Very disappointing and when I mentioned it to the manager he said « next time you will enjoy the food ». There will be no next time especially when there are a lot of other different and flavoursome cuisines to go to.
