The Mint Inn first became a beer house in 1871, although Mint farm, on which we stand, could date back as far as 1325. In the late 19th Century The Mint was put up for auction with a general shop attached, stabling and garden included, a private house and enough space for a good trade. The Mint has welcomed guests, as an Inn, for over 100 years to enjoy our setting and service.

We had a lovely time. It was busy but didn't feel crowded or chaotic at all, and there was hardly any wait for our food, which was delicious. Our server was really friendly and very patient when our 16 month decided she was paying for the meal by card! Thank you, we'll definitely be back.
We visited The Mint with two friends last week. The pub and restaurant were busy. The food and service (from Emma ) were excellent and we all enjoyed our meals. In fact, we all ate everything on our plates. The open fire was very welcoming as it was a cold night. We’ll be back very soon.
Start with the positives. I had a steak and it was delicious. Very small portion of chips. And I didn't get cherry tomatoes. Now for the negatives. A couple of members of staff are very welcoming and friendly. But the senior members of staff treat the place like it's their social club. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was just put on the table and the member of staff just walked away. Didn't let us sample it to see if we liked it. My point is if you're going to charge restaurant prices you need to train at your staff better.
Lovely place, food and staff. Really enjoyed eating there over Christmas.
Beautiful country pub with a lovely beer garden! Perfect to sit outside for a brunch or drinks and enjoy whatever sunshine we get in summer. Their roast dinner (pork belly and Turkey) was tasty! I wasn’t too keen on the gravy. Bit salty for me. Lamb koftas were yummy. And their halloumi fries are to die for. Staff are friendly and professional. Millie looked after us so well.
