A perfect example of what a country pub should be! Beautiful traditional building and setting with warm welcoming staff. Three of us had the Sunday dinner today and it was exceptionally good! Top quality cuts of beef cooked to perfection, smothered in rich tasty gravy, a giant Yorkshire pud and all the trimmings! Simply Lovleh! To top this off the girls had a traditional syrup sponge and custard and I treated myself to a couple of pints of Bowland brewery’s “Bumble” which was a cracking pint! Every credit to the team at The sun inn ! Keep up the good work guys! We will be back for sure!

Stopped by after a decent fell walk. Lovely pint of wainwright and 4 delicious roasts (excellent value), we left happy and full. Staff very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere exactly what you’d expect for a country pub. Highly recommended.

We just called in for a couple of drinks as we were staying in the village. Bustling main area of the bar. Friendly welcome from the bar staff. Good selection of draught & cask beers. The Cask Ale was in tip-top condition. We sat in one of the smaller rooms off the main bar which was full of memorabilia. A lovely place.

Had a great meal here yesterday- only pub serving food in village. Walked in (no reservation) I had cheese and onion pie (can’t seem to get this in most places so bonus) and hubby had steak and ale pie - was very good. Proper chips too! Atmosphere was friendly and bar busy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Very reasonable with drinks £33 total. Much cheaper than our home area in north Wales.

A very pleasant traditional English pub. It has a lovely warm ambience, friendly helpful service, excellent food, outside covered seating and is in the centre of Chipping, a peaceful, rural village with plenty of countryside walks from the doorstep. The pub was actually quite busy but most people were outside on a sunny evening and I took pics while it was quiet.
