Christmas Dinner yesterday, 25th Dec 23, wasn't worth the £50 that I paid for a 4 course meal. Starter was OK, the main meal turkey was awful. The sprouts hard & so we're the carrots, meat all fatty, roast potatoes had never been roasted or seen an oven. The Christmas pudding & custard was nice, I didn't stay for the mince pie & cup of tea. I've often had meals here, as I live round the corner, bit Christmas Dinner wasn't very nice, I'm really sorry to say. And I know the staff gave up their Christmas day to be in the pub 😥

Stayed here for 1 night for a family party in Eastwood. For the money, i thought was good value, room clean and tidy as was the bathroom. Check in was easy, greeted by a cheerful & helpful staff member. Good bar & beer/had a few before moving on. Would defo return.

Arrived 28th November, cold room for three days as radiators wasn't working, given a small fan heater to compensate. Eventually given option of another room which wasn't much warmer. Breakfast was underrated as lukewarm, mentioned to Arran and he said he knew of the situation and kept trying to tell the breakfast cook !!, some items on menu not available, evening meal same with items unavailable, even asked for a white coffee on Friday lunchtime to say couldn't have one as no milk!!. Staff seemed no bothered with our situation and no apologies, doubt we will be returning

Excellent place to eat. We both ordered steak and these didn't let us down. Really tasty succulent steaks that were melt in the mouth good. Service was friendly and very quick. Great friendly atmosphere and we very much enjoyed our visit.

Came here for dinner and it did not disappoint! Thoroughly recommend coming for a visit if you’re wondering where to go in/around Eastwood. Friendly service in a small and cosy bar area, with attentive and courteous staff. Food was fresh, tasty & plentiful. Beer garden is a nice area to watch the world go by and chill. Like I say, worth trying!
