On holiday for a week. Quiet , stunning views and excellent local amenities. Under new management who are tastefully upgrading the interior Saw bats,osprey and an eagle! Great pub nearby👍
A friendly welcome from the owner of the property on arrival. Walking into the cottage, a welcoming scone, butter and jam with a small vase of wild flowers - a lovely gesture. The first thing we noticed was the stale smell of smoke from the wood burning fire. The kitchen is laid out well, very bright and airy with everything you need for cooking and eating: utensils, cutlery, plates and dishwasher.. a large fridge/freezer. Bedroom 1 is well presented, bright and quite generous in size. Bedroom 2 is a family room but quite dark, even with curtains open. Again, the stale smoke smell was quite apparent in this room. The living room is, in our opinion the let down of the property. Extremely dark and dreary, even in the middle of the day we had to turn the lights on. Quite comfy furniture. TV is small for the room and in an odd place, perhaps wall mounted would be better with a larger screen. The bathroom is small, with toilet acting as a door stop. Shower enclosure leaks. Not too sure about the wooden display shelves inside the shower. The hot tub is brilliant, a great way to start or finish your day. Location is ideal for days out, Aviemore is just 5 minutes away with an Aldi/Tesco and other shops. Smiffys Fish and Chips are worth a visit. Overall, a great experience but the cottage is missing, for us, the WOW factor.
Ideal holiday self-catering home within Cairngorm National Park. Spacious and well equipped. All rooms en-suite. Very relaxed atmosphere and welcoming hosts.
Fantastic house to rent for a holiday near Aviemore. It has large grounds with a play area for kids and also a hot tub. There is lots to do in the area that can be reached on foot or by a short car drive.
Outstanding Air BnB, hosts are very helpful and the house is ideal for large family stay or a group of friends. Facilities are excellent and the whole place has a homely feel. Pub right next door is run by the villagers and is a great place to spend the evening, good beers including a range of low alcohol.
