About us

We’ve hosted literally hundreds and hundreds of bands over the years, many of whom have gone on to massive success, examples include; Coldplay, Muse, Elbow, Daft Punk, Stereophonics, A Day to Remember, The 1975, The National, Maximo Park, Kasabian, Lamb of God, Biffy Clyro, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Trivium, Bring Me The Horizon, Foals, You Me at Six, Glassjaw, Editors and The Libertines to name just a few.

We actively promote the local band scene and also try and bring some of the bigger names back to the city to play at The Victoria Hall and Keele University.

We’re open every Friday for our ELECTRIC FRIDAY club night, which is the longest running alternative club night in Staffordshire. We host an all-nighter until 6am the last Friday of every month.

We also host THE MOVE on occasional Saturdays and every Bank Holiday Sunday, a club night which brings you the biggest names in international house music.

Our club nights are open to over 18s only, all our shows (unless stated otherwise) are open to over 14s.

Great venue. Lovely atmosphere. There were a few grumbles that door staff were slow letting people in and some people missed part of the 1st act. I genuinely think doors opening time needs to allow more than 15 minutes before live music starts. Thankfully we were there ahead of doors open, so managed to get in, drinks and still be down the front. Great evening. Live music brilliant...Jess Silk; Shanghai Treason and Headsticks. Definitely recommend seeing any of them. Note to others. Get there early!

The place is ok, not going to minus stars due to some people who go in (people causing fights as they didn't know how a mosh pit works and was annoyed someone got pushed into them) drinks are ok I guess (standard price for nights out). Music could sound better acoustically, toilets could be better managed and wish I didn't need to walk up to the roof for a cigarette (be better if there was a balcony type area on the second floor) but that is my own choice.

The once prestigious & authentic indie venue has now inherited a woke & pedantic door policy. But if bouncers are tolerant of you - you will meet far nicer staff inside. Thanks for the memories lol

This venue is just about passable for a rock gig. For a sellout, it's cramped for space and difficult to get a drink. The acoustics are poor and the toilets are at the back so again, in a sellout, a nightmare to get back to where you were standing. I enjoyed the gig because I love the band but give me the KK Steel Mill in Wolves every time.

Was there for a gig, first time in several years and it hadn't changed. Good little venue and drink prices are quite reasonable. Toilets still not great. A good atmosphere and town centre so plenty of parking not far away.
