Stopped here for a beer after a long walk, very friendly barman and lovely beers. Roaring log burner. Could have stayed all afternoon
Great pub set in a lovely location. Food was also spot on and great value for money. Staff and landlord were very welcoming. This is a pub well worth a visit, especially if you like a pint of ale. I myself had cider and another thing that I though was a great touch was they keep the glasses in the fridge aswel nice and cool ready for your pint. You don't see this much these days. All in all well worth a visit and I will definitely be going back.
Great village pub. Yummy food and very welcoming landlord. Lovely chatting with the locals. Highly recommended.
Our annual visit with our Morris side to take part in the Belchamp Morris St George's Day celebrations. Lovely pub - good choice of beer and an excellent welcome from the staff and the wonderful Belchamp Morris Men too. If only in 2023 they could have booked some better weather - this year we got a tad wet & in 2022, we got sunburnt!! Always a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon - we look forward to visiting again soon just for a normal, non Morris visit.
A fantastic pub and brilliant landlord and wife too. Food is on Friday dinner time and weekends but you will need to book if you are having the Sunday Carvery and possibly the Saturday night. But a beautiful pub and gardens
