We were a big group that ate here on Christmas Eve. The food was delicious, everyone around the table was commenting on how tasty everything was. On top of that, service was great, such a welcoming and friendly approach. A great evening had by all.

Went here today for lunch with a friend. We had quick friendly service the whole time we were there. The food was lovely and it was so nice to not have to cook for a change. Everywhere was clean and it got really busy as we were leaving as the sun was out and their garden is beautiful!

I have enjoyed many pubs on my trips to the UK, but the Tollgate in Bury St Edmonds is exceptional! The bar food is always hot and delicious! Wether you have the fish and chips or the beef pukka pie, they are all great! The beer is cold with numerous choices. I always start with a pint of Guinness because it’s hard to find on tap even in England! Great service and great people that run the Tollgate!

A warm greeting was followed by a fantastic meal for us both, lasagne and hunters chicken, followed by bananas, waffles and ice cream. Fantastic food at really good prices and dog friendly too !
