Just dropped in on the off chance as we came away from a quick shop. Dog friendly, staff friendly, warm and cosy. However, the best bit was the food. A good range to begin with and includes simple pub food alongside the more adventurous. Good amount of chips, and not stuck in some pointless cup and priced right. More of this please. To end the meal we had a coffee, and it was a decent one, in fact better than coffee shops of late.

We went for breakfast with Santa today at The Fox. It was fantastic, the staff were amazing and did everything they could to make sure my family had an amazing time. My two grandchildren were so excited and the presents that they were given were so nice. My family are vegetarian and they were so well catered for. I want to thank everyone for making it so magical ❤️

We went for work Christmas do. The service was great, Staff were attentive and considerate, the food was so delicious. Those Yorkshire puddings were a real treat. Good selection of drinks. We were in a room with another larger group which was fine when they were sat down but very uncomfortable when they were stood up and you're trying to eat with someones butt in your face it wasn't pleasant especially when one of decided to drop their guts. It was very warm in that room so regular outside fresh air breaks were needed.

Great venue, close to the heart of Bury St Edmunds, the Abbey Gardens and the Cathedral. We booked for a family lunch and felt bad that our guests were extremely late, due to traffic and also that an extra relative and a dog were joining them, but we were greeted in such a friendly way, and everything was "No Problem!" It was warm and cosy, with ambience but not noisy, service was very quick, and the food was delicious. The menu is usual pub grub but with a few extra and interesting additions, and everyone enjoyed their meals.
