A 19th Century Inn situated in the village of Hayton, 3 miles from the market town of Brampton and 7 miles from the historic City of Carlisle.
We serve traditionally brewed cask ales, wines, spirits & minerals & offer a variety of good home cooking using fresh local produce.

Wonderful. My sort of genuine village pub where its whole purpose is to serve and be part of the community. Good beer, basic pub grub, friendly locals. Good luck with your leeks!
Excellent meal, the steak pie in particular was exceptional. The fish & chips was more like whale and chips. Lovely dessert selection Dining room is small (6 or so tables) in a cute way. It's up narrow stairs so not suitable for wheelchairs, but there are tables downstairs, perhaps they might be able to accommodate if given advance notice. Limited parking, but definitely worth the effort. We will be back
Lovely little pub in a gorgeous village with friendly landlord and a strong community focus.
Excellent small village pub. Stopped for a break and something to eat and drink. The food was cooked to perfection. Steak Pie and home made chips are absolutely lovely. Pizza was fab as well. Next time we're traveling up to Alnwick,we will call in again. Thanks to the staff.
No car park so road parking only. The food is served upstairs in the dining room. We both had the beef roast dinner, the beef was a good size and melted in your mouth. We will return.
