The Stockyard is a unique place full of rustic charm and traditional values, whether you fancy a quiet night and a chat or a fun filled music night provided by regular karaoke stars or our talented organist to sing along to.
The music starts on Tuesday and Wednesday, Darren Knights with karaoke from 9pm on both nights. Don't be late as it gets very busy but you don't wait to get served, we are always staffed up with our excellent bar team. The price of drink will astound you; we are noted for our fair prices.
On Thursday and Saturday, our resident organist Ian Dodds accompanies some of the very best singers around.
Our prime function is a truckstop, this is self evident with the vast truckpark with a capacity of over 200 trucks. Ladies and gents showers are maintained to a very high standard. We serve food every day (except bank holidays) – most days from 5am for early starters.
The Stockyard attracts people from all walks of life and age groups who enjoy the food, music and drinks or just to chat.
Harry's bar, named after our very dear friend Harry Bletcher who from my very first thoughts on a truckstop, Harry was always deeply involved. His endless talents show in every aspect of The Stockyard, with the utilisation of old bricks, windows, flags, beams and general junk. We have created a pub and restaurant entrance that looks 100 years old, but above all else, it has atmosphere.

I could have gone home tonight, instead I kept going so that I could spend another night here in the truck instead 🤣. Food is amazing and you help yourself to veg, mash and gravy. You get a discount if you've paid for parking too.
Good food. £20 overnight parking (Lorry). Showers and a pub. You get a discount on your food when parking aswell. Only thing I think could be improved on is the shower and toilet facilities as there's only a small amount of facilities for the size on the Truck stop.
You'd be bonkers not to stop here !! Best truck park I've been to in the UK so far 👍👍
Great place to be weekended. Food, beer, decent showers, friendly staff bar and restaurant . Been coming here for years on and off and the gaffa definitely got it right on how to treat a truck driver and Joe public that use this place a lot also. Park early or risk not being able to park at all tells you how popular it is . SNAP parking available . Only downside is they haven’t got round to having a laundry here which long haul drivers require. Will return again and again 👍
Good SNAP, big parking, over 200 spaces for lorry, you have to register inside the restaurant at the SNAP computer and you have a voucher for the restaurant. Very good food and drinks, nice serving. Clean toilets and showers. Thank you for everything.
