If your looking for a relaxing, laid back cosy vibe for some food then this place is ideal. Food is excellent and service is always quick and met with friendly service, would recommend!
Had a great lunch at the Lion and Unicorn today. There were 24 of us all accommodated in one area. Staff were great and the food was excellent.
We only dined but it was absolutely amazing. The service was friendly, kind and very warm. The two ladies serving us were very attentive but not ever hovering. The food was delicious and well portioned, would highly recommend the bruccetaa (may have spelled that one wrong). My family failry enjoyed their meals as well, with everyone commenting on the brilliant taste and size of the meals. Atmosphere was especially lovely, we felt we could have stayed all night chatting at the table. Pricing is very reasonable considering how many aspects were 5 star for us. If you are passing or are looking for somwhere could not reccomend this place enough. Thank you for the lovely night lion and the unicorn
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and best ending to my trip away! Had breaded mushrooms with garlic dip to start and partner and little girl had garlic ciabatta both really good and fresh. Next onto the main event my partner had the fish and chips and I had the steak and ale pie oh my it was so good I asked for half and half with chips and potatoes and wasn’t a problem at all our waitress was really good next time I’m passing through will definitely be back and will recommend to others thanks love from Aberdeen :)
Stopped off for dinner when passing through on an early Sunday evening. The restaurant was very busy and had a lovely atmosphere. We didn't book but must have got one of the last tables - booking is advised for a Sunday especially! The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. The idea of a sharing bowl of vegetables with some dishes is excellent and really helps prevent food waste. I ordered Balmoral Chicken - 100% recommend, the chicken was perfectly cooked, the whiskey sauce was superb, haggis fritter was delicious... I could go on! The menu is very reasonably priced and has a great selection. One minor point was that after the meal our plates didn't get collected and we had to go to the bar to request the bill (felt a bit strange leaving having paid with plates/glasses still on the table). Plenty of car parking and outdoor seating if the weather is nice! All in all, that didn't affect our experience and I can 100% recommend a visit and will be back.
