The Staunton Arms is one of the Vale of Belvoir's finest village pubs. The 200-year old listed pub delivers freshly prepared dishes every day, and offers hand-picked cask ales from local and regional brewers, all available in warm and relaxing surroundings.
A friendly welcome awaits all customers from the local villages, as well as visitors from further afield, looking to drink and dine in a beautiful part of the Vale. Our distinct dining rooms are a perfect setting to enjoy dinner with friends. Or, you could meet for a 'Pie & Pint' lunch, or simply use the free Wi-Fi whilst enjoying a great cup of coffee.
We stayed here for our friends birthday recently. We cannot fault anything. The food was superb as were the staff who were exemplary. The room was lovely and really well maintained. The whole experience was wonderful and we would highly recommend the Staunton Arms to anyone wanting to eat or stay here.
Came for a meal here with my parents and boyfriend before Christmas, something that should have been a lovely experience turned into a nightmare very quickly. Upon arrival I got lock in the ladies loo as the lock broke. Only option to jump over stall. My mother & I both had the Turkey, we both thought it was tastes & dry, the roast potatoes and parsnips were under cooked. I went for a dessert which was on the special board hoping that was going to be a better experience, unfortunately it didn’t reach expectations. I took one mouthful and couldn’t eat the rest. When I spoke to the manager about my experience with my dessert, Turkey & loo. He acted like he couldn’t careless and refused to rectify the bill as the pretty much untouched dessert that was over £8 was there on there. I love supporting local businesses and restaurants during this current crisis as I believe it is important. However on the flip side I do expect the management to be able to hear you out and listen to any concerns you may have over the food especially when you haven’t even touched it. We all walked away very disappointed.
A glowing review for The Staunton Arms and everyone working there. We booked based on its convenient location just off the A1, a good stopping off point for a journey north. Bed and breakfast, plus dinner. The welcome was really friendly and efficient. The dinner was superb - we had the pie and it was so good, along with nice wine and good beer. Again, all staff were really friendly and the service was impeccable. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, really quiet. Breakfast was amazing! Thanks to everyone there. I thoroughly recommend The Staunton Arms and I’m sure we’ll be back.
Me and my husband had a table booked for 7pm on greeting staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was cozy maybe a bit noisy for us but we were sat next to a Christmas table so it’s to be expected! The meal Came out in no time and was very nice would recommend for sure
Stayed here 2 nights last week travelling from North Wales for a wedding at nearby Langar Hall. Room spacious, clean and comfortable with a large en suite bathroom. We were opposite the kitchen in the Elston room and were fore warned about a possibility of kitchen noise and found it not to be any problem in our circumstances as we wanted to up handy and were late to retire. The only thing missing, maybe a net curtain at the ground floor window as when dressing, kitchen members passed by which surprised us as it was open fields beyond the hedge. 🤣 We enjoyed dining in on our 1st night and thoroughly enjoyed the enormous steak and ale pie. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts delicious too. Staff went above and beyond on the day of the wedding as we were let down by taxi's and a Staff member personally drove the 4 of us in her own car 'saving the day'. We thank you again and we will definitely be back to enjoy some more fabulous hospitality. Susi and Andy
