Excellent home cooked food. Lovely friendly staff. Even chef came out of kitchen to help husband with special dietary requirements. They could not do enough for us. Also enough space for quite large parties of people. And as of all that were not enough, exceptionally well priced.

Visited yesterday for Sunday carvery there was 11 of us the roast was beautiful the meat was the best we have tasted for a while . Plenty of lovely veg . Red wine was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful , would highly recommend a visit and will definitely go again thankyou to team station . X

This is the first time we ate here since the new owners took it over in March and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have kept the same furnishings which seem to work well. I liked the layout of the menu with chicken, pies, fish etc. listed on seperate pages. The food was delicious and the potions very generous . The service was very good considering it was a bank holiday weekend. A nice touch was that the chef came out of the kitchen and asked everyone if everything was OK with the food. Will certainly be returning very soon.

The food that we ate was lovely, thank you. However, what we ate was not necessarily what we ordered. Four of us ordered and two of us received the meals we ordered. My pie, a lovely steak and black pudding combination, was delicious but my wife and my mother in law had pastry that was undercooked and one didn’t have the Stilton in the ordered pie and garden peas as opposed to the ordered mushy variety. Trying then to attract attention so that the bill may be paid was also frustrating. This is a new pub restaurant with ambition and has so many good things happening. However, there are wrinkles that need addressing.

Just back on the site after winter period to find this little beauty all up and running on our doorstep. We have been for Sunday carvery with our 2 boys. The food was amazing I don't normally eat everything but I did here. My 2yr old ate everything and was shouting for more meat he had the gammon. Staff were lovely very family oriented great with my kids. They even accommodate for my eldest who is gluten free. We will be back on a regular basis it's fair to say you are our caravan local. Thanks everyone x Ps I enjoyed my pint to Haha x
