Good ale. Friendly staff and locals. Live music on Fridays. Lovely little snug. Dog friendly
Visited whilst in Whitby overnight. Used to be our local many years ago. Still the same great little pub with a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Lovely cosy surroundings the 2 rooms at the front are nice and quiet if you want to talk and the room at the back good if you fancy live music. The choice of ales and beers are good as are the wines . A well kept bar with great staff a must go to pub when visiting Whitby dog friendly also .
Big pub, lots of TVs for the sport (we watched the footy on a bit projector in the front room). Lots of old features and some fake-old ones too but it has a good vibe. Friendly barman and customers. There were 8 handpumps, 5 on, most were the very common Timothy Taylor, Sharps etc, but our indie brewery pint was really good. Just a shame people think it is okay to let their dogs on the sofas, and bring dogs in that yap at anyone that walks past ...
Lovely little pub, staff member was really cheerful and helpful (long curly hair I didn't get her name!) AND they have my favourite cider on the hand pulls, Old Rosie 😍 will be back for sure. Tables and toilets were clean and tidy.
