Located on the edge of Nidderdale, we are lucky enough to have stunning scenery and amazing walking routes right on our doorstep. We are also located just 6.5 miles or a 15 minute drive from Harrogate, the “happiest place to live in Britain”
Our AA One Rosette restaurant serves food daily and our experienced chefs take great pride in creating beautifully presented, unfussy yet full flavoured food, letting clever combinations of fresh, seasonal ingredients really shine through. Vegetarians are well catered for and many of our dishes can be produced gluten-free; with a little warning dairy-free dishes can be provided too. Our menu changes regularly and whilst we do serve traditional pub classics such as fish & chips and sticky toffee pudding we also serve a la carte dishes to tempt every palate; our seafood dishes are particularly popular.
We serve food throughout the pub and children and dogs are welcome.
The Garden Room is reserved for adults only whilst children are more than welcome to dine in the Dining Room, Window, Snug and Bar areas.
Dogs are welcome in our Window, Snug and Bar areas – it is best to book if you would like to bring your dog with you. Dogs must be kept on a lead and water bowls are provided outside.
We also have a lovely beer garden with covered terrace which is fabulous for al fresco dining, it is open to all and is a non smoking area.
We serve food from 12noon to 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 12noon to 8pm on Sunday. Our a la carte menu is available throughout the pub and we offer a fixed price menu that is served from 12noon to 6pm Monday to Saturday. Our sandwich menu is served from 12noon to 5pm Monday to Saturday in the Dining Room, Window, Snug and Bar areas, it is not available in the Garden Room. A special set Sunday lunch menu is served from 12noon to 8pm alongside a selection of our other dishes.

Such a shame this evening. This is our local and love coming here we visit quite regularly, however the service this evening has put us off going back. Waitress was extremely rude with an awful attitude. Asked if we could have some sauce politely and she responded to my mother with ‘can we get the food out first thanks’. Leaning over all of us when half the table was free to serve from. Staff behind the bar were much more approachable. The foods presentation and quality was terrible compared to usual standard. Also overcharged on the bill when they have a discounted January deal on. Phoned up when we realised the bill was incorrect and was told we would receive a call back when this was ‘looked into’, however have heard nothing. Didn’t stay for dessert as the experience was shocking and we couldn’t wait to leave.
Very disappointing....food took ages to come and was only average. Crumble had loads of fruit but hardly any topping but the main gripe was the bill and poor customer service. I ordered Pork Casserole which was part of special price menu but charged full price on bill and was told I had ordered from normal menu with no backing down or apology. Lost two customers...wont be back and we are local.
Family Birthday meal Bit of a mixed bag. Mostly quite good, roast recommend, burgers very dry although chips great Kept getting orders wrong, and drinks took an age, all. Not quite worth a 4, so solid 3
Right up there with the best Sunday roast I've ever had. Good size and cooked to perfection. Somehow managed a dessert too which was also fantastic. Not a local but if I was I'd be a regular here for sure
We have just had the most amazing meal here at the Station Hotel! The staff couldn’t honestly do any more for us and the food was phenomenal- will definitely be returning and would highly recommend! It was also dog friendly in ‘the snug’ which was a huge bonus to us too.
