About us
The Star, dating back to 1550 ad, is situated on the picturesque High Street of Standon,
opposite St Marys Church.
A welcoming family run pub, with a large delightful garden having trees for natural shade as well as plenty of seating. Further down the garden is a large meadow for children to play and run freely.
Our traditional lounge bar offers a quiet area for a drink, where as a separate bar features a Dart board and
Sky TV, catering for sports fans.
Ample parking is available.

Food & drink
Our food menu uses locally sourced fresh produce, homemade on the premises.
Naturally reared Beef, Pork and Lamb are sourced from local farmers, then matured and processed at a local butcher to ensure a first class, premium quality product.
Four Cask Marque accredited real ales are always on offer, one of which will be from a local brewery. We also feature in the CAMRA GOOD BEER GUIDE so you can be sure to receive a perfect pint.
We stock over 30 Gins, of which six are from ''Copper in the Clouds'', our local distillery that is just 1.6 miles from The Star. The selection regularly changes to provide new experiences on each visit.
We also stock a comprehensive range of Single Malts, representing the different styles of Whiskies available for those who prefer a ''wee dram''.
