Family run 16th century village pub, serving locally sourced fresh food and Cask Marque awarded ales.

The Star, dating back to 1550 ad, is situated on the picturesque High Street of Standon,
opposite St Marys Church.

A welcoming family run pub, with a large delightful garden having trees for natural shade as well as plenty of seating. Further down the garden is a large meadow for children to play and run freely.

Our traditional lounge bar offers a quiet area for a drink, where as a separate bar features a Dart board and
Sky TV, catering for sports fans.

Ample parking is available.

Pub Closure Commencing 23rd March

The Restaurant and Bar area will be closed from the 23rd March - 29th March whilst the final parts of the extension are being completed.

The Sports bar will remain open for drinks in the evening however, so you can pop in and see how it's coming along.

British Pie Week

We will be serving a large selection of Homemade Pies to celebrate British Pie Week 2nd - 8th March.

If for some reason you're not a lover of pies, don't worry, our normal menu will still be available.

This is always a popular event so booking is advisable.

Captain Pink Shorts Christmas Event.

Come join us at around 6pm before we head up to the village hall to see Captain Pink Shorts perform some brilliant cover songs (Christmas covers too!).
After the event we will be heading back to The Star for a few drinks and some carol singing.
