Lovely traditional pub, great looking food, definitely reserving a table for a meal next time
The 3 of us walked in after a fab walk around Dale Abbey. It was fairly busy but was offered a table even though it had a reserved sign. Ordered 2 roast lunches and one of the steak and stilton pies... All was absolutely delicious, especially the pie. Lovely atmosphere and loved the naughty children secret door 🚪👍😅.
The Sunday lunch was terrific! Great portions, the meat was fantastic, a great choice of sides to accompany the roast, extra gravy as standard. Simply wonderful. Dare I say the best roast I’ve had in a long time…? We shall certainly return.
Lovely as always. Staff are always extremely friendly, menu is varied with various deals such as 2 mains for £12.99 and the specials board changes regularly. Warm, cosy, traditional pub feel with typical pub grub and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Quaint old pub, with new tenants, selling good reasonably priced beers and spirits and the food is also very good. We had a family party recently in an upstairs room that was brilliant. They do have Quiz nights there. Staff are friendly and can't help you enough. There is seating outside for those summer days
